We are pleased to announce that Cecile Bedor has joined Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity as the new Chief Real Estate Officer. Prior to joining Habitat, Cecile served as the Executive Vice President of Real Estate at Common Bond Communities since 2018. She led strategic initiatives related to real estate purchase and development, construction management, property, and portfolio asset management while bolstering financial compliance and sustainability with key stakeholders, funders, and investors.
Cecile previously served as the Executive Vice President of GREATER MSP. Prior to that, she served for eight years as the City of Saint Paul’s Director of Planning and Economic Development (PED). During that time, she was also the Executive Director of the City’s Housing & Redevelopment Authority. Prior to joining the City, she was the Director of Partnerships and Development for the Minneapolis Public Library, overseeing the system’s marketing and communications, community library capital projects, and community partnerships. She previously held positions with the National Equity Fund, the Metropolitan Council, and Aeon.
Academically, Cecile holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and English and Masters of Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota.
Through board service, she currently serves on the Itasca Working Group, and is Board Chair for the Minnesota Housing Partnership and Wilderness Inquiry. She has two adult children and enjoys all things in the great outdoors.
