Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity Launches $36 Million A World of Hope Campaign
Comprehensive campaign responds to increased need to revitalize neighborhoods hardest hit by the foreclosure crisis
Massive volunteer cleanup in North Minneapolis
When:
Saturday, June 4 – volunteer registration begins at 8AM. There’ll be two shifts for volunteers – morning and afternoon.
Where:
Volunteers will register at Macy’s in Brookdale Mall, Brooklyn Center. They’ll be transported by MTC busses to sites throughout North Minneapolis.
Who:
More than 2,000 volunteers will be taking part. People who did not pre-registered already can not volunteer. The City of Minneapolis is organizing and leading the cleanup. Thanks to Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity experience and expertise in large-scale volunteer events, our staff will be registering, assembling and dispatching the volunteers. The Red Cross is providing bag lunches, snacks and water for volunteers.
Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is developing an all-new Disaster Recovery Program specifically to respond to the new needs of North Minneapolis. We will be releasing details on this plan in the coming days. To be a part of this important work email volunteer@tchabitat.org or visit our website www.tchabitat.org.
