A Heartfelt Thank You to Carter Work Project Participants

The recent Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project was nothing short of extraordinary. From September 29 through October 4, more than 4,000 people gathered with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity and Habitat for Humanity International to cast a global spotlight on the importance of affordable housing. Volunteers worked on 30 homes, launching Twin Cities Habitat's construction efforts at The Heights on St. Paul's East Side!  

We have many people to thank for their contributions in making this massive, week-long event a huge success. In fact, we really can’t thank you all enough.

Thank you to our sponsors at all levels for using their time and sponsorship dollars to help us build forward in creating a more equitable Twin Cities. Without your support, this event simply does not happen.

Thank you to our in-kind donors who supplied everything from important building materials and equipment to the coffee and water that kept us energized and hydrated.

Thank you to the faith leaders who bestowed a blessing on us each morning after breakfast. Volunteers and staff headed out to the build site with positive attitudes and open hearts.

Thank you to our inspiring Habitat homeowners who spoke at various programs throughout the week, sharing their personal stories and reminding us all why we were gathered to build. And thank you to the homeowners who volunteered on site either building or working with hospitality, also sharing their time and talents with the community.

Thank you to the many, many vendors who helped us execute this historic event. Your expertise in event logistics was essential to making this a smooth and enjoyable experience.
