Professional builders to put up Habitat home in Shakopee extra quick

The next Habitat for Humanity home in Shakopee is going to go up fast thanks to the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC) Foundation. The BATC Foundation is sponsoring construction of the home, plus its members are volunteering their time and talents with the goal of completing the home in just five weeks.

The BATC Foundation and Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity will hold a kickoff event at the site of the new home (1632 Philipp Wayin Shakopee, 55379) at 9am on Friday July 15. The professional builders will be working as volunteers on the site for the next month.

This home is one of four homes Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is building in Shakopee this year. All of them are part of a multi-year 10 home project in the Thomas A. Philipp Addition along 17th Avenue.
