Each January, on the third Monday of the month, we honor Dr. Martin Luther King with a special holiday that has been declared a "day of service" in the United States. Since many schools and business are closed for this holiday, it allows families and friends to get out in their communities together and lend a hand by volunteering with local nonprofits.
This year, we have opportunities for volunteers to lend a hand in Minneapolis and Oak Park Heights!
Learn more about this day of service on www.MLKday.gov.
We hope to see you out on site on Monday, January 20!
"Everybody can be great...because everybody can serve."
