After a long time off last winter and spring, we were so excited to be able to welcome back all of our group and individual volunteers for the summer months. We had an amazing and busy summer build season and it was great to see you were all as excited as we were to be back on site! Now with fall in full swing, we are excited to be turning over a new leaf at Twin Cities Habitat as we enter our next build season! Here are just a few ways we’ll be transitioning into the end of 2021:
As of November, our build weeks will run from Tuesday-Friday with several sites having Saturdays open as well, rather than our summer Monday-Friday schedule. We are recruiting for some specific Saturdays in November and December so if your group is looking for a weekend opportunity, check out what we have available!
We have individual opportunities coming up in November and December on several of our build sites, including Hastings, Woodbury, and South St Paul. Sign up as an individual or get a friend or two to join you.
Maybe you want to try pitching in on a build site (no construction experience necessary), or maybe you want to see what it's like at one of our ReStore home improvement outlets? Volunteer shifts are only 4 hours long and can include a variety of tasks like organizing, pricing donated items, or accepting items at the donation doors. There is always something to do!
At Twin Cities Habitat, our build sites are spread out over the 7-county metro area, so there is likely a location near you. It's amazing we can serve so many different types of communities and we would love your help, especially in the outer suburbs. We need volunteers specifically in Chaska, Cottage Grove, and Crystal!
(use the drop-down menu to choose a location)
Last but certainly not least, we are excited to announce the return of our Winter Warriors program! Winter Warriors are volunteers who volunteer with us at least 3 times during our winter season (December-February). Those who achieve the coveted status of a Winter Warrior volunteer also get a super cool Habitat beanie! Stay tuned for more information about this program, coming soon.
Thank you for your continued support!
