Each year, nonprofits and communities celebrate service and recognize volunteers during National Volunteer Recognition Week (April 18-24). We're so lucky to have such dedicated volunteers here at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. In fact, volunteers like you are crucial in making our mission a reality and we literally can't do it without you—Thank You!
Our mission is to bring people together to create, preserve, and promote affordable homeownership and advance racial equity in housing. It's a difficult task, but working together can help make this a reality. Not just an organization, but people coming together generate change. Let's keep moving forward!
We are extremely grateful for the more than 15,000 volunteers who help with everything from answering phones and greeting guests at our headquarters, to picking up donations for ReStore home improvement outlets, and the many volunteers who roll up their sleeves to build Habitat homes.
This year, as we take precautions to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we can’t celebrate volunteers in the ways that we have in years past. Even with volunteer activities limited, we’re reminded of how essential volunteers are. As COVID-19 continues to impact the world and we look ahead, we know volunteers are needed more than ever to help with all kinds of recovery efforts.
We look forward to seeing you in person in the future, but for now, we'd like you to stay connected to Habitat during by taking one or more of the actions listed below. You'll be entered to win some great prizes from local businesses that we think you'll really enjoy! The more you sign up, the more chances you have to win.
Complete one or more to be entered in the prize drawing:
The rules are simple:
Each day (April 19-24) a winner will be randomly chosen from everyone who participated on that day. If you win, we'll contact you with more details. If you have any questions, please email volunteer@tchabitat.org.
Finally, the most important part of Volunteer Recognition Week is to take a moment to express our gratitude and appreciation for everything you do. Thank you for all of your time and hard work – we’re not exaggerating when we say we could not do what we do without you. Thank You!
Your gift unlocks bright futures! Donate now to create, preserve, and promote affordable homeownership in the Twin Cities.
