What:
Interfaith tornado cleanup day in North Minneapolis
When:
Thursday, June 2 from 8am to 5pm
Where:
Volunteers will meet at St. Olaf Lutheran Church at 2901 Emerson Avenue North. They’ll head out from there to work sites around North Minneapolis.
Who:
Members of several of the Twin Cities various faith communities will be represented. These are skilled, trained laborers who’ve responded to other disasters around the state and the nation before.
Background:
This special event was organized through Minnesota Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (www.mnvoad.org). Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity staff will be leading the volunteer groups. To reach one of the groups on the day of the event call Trista Matascastillo at 612-845-7036.
