The Board of Directors leads the organization as it continues to strengthen its programs, expand its impact, and advance racial equity. Building on 40 years of successful programs and generational impact, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is a bold leader in affordable homeownership in the Twin Cities and across the Habitat for Humanity global network.

The organization’s Build Forward Together strategic plan and campaign have led to numerous successful programs and initiatives.

This month, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity marks two years of its groundbreaking Advancing Black Homeownership program. The program is designed to unlock homeownership opportunities for Foundational Black households—those who trace their roots to slavery in the U.S. In just two years, nearly 60 households have bought affordable homes through the program.

In fall 2024, Twin Cities Habitat hosted a tremendously successful Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project, engaging thousands in building homes and carrying on the Carters’ legacy of service.

The largest affordable homeownership builder in the area, Twin Cities Habitat continues to build homes across the metro area, while developing its largest-ever development at The Heights on the Greater East Side of St. Paul. Starting with 30 units at the Carter Work Project, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is building 147 homes across four city blocks over five years. When Habitat’s work is complete, the new community will deliver the safety, stability, and wealth-building potential of affordable homeownership to more than 500 people.
