Earlier this month, over 290 Habitat homeowners and family members came together to attend the 9th annual Homeowner Networking Event at the Minnesota Children's Museum.
In addition to the networking and socializing opportunities, families were given the option to attend ongoing homeowner education and training sessions, and get a nice family photo taken, courtesy of photographer Dennis Chick.
This year, Habitat offered a Habitat Mortgage Escrow class to help homeowners better understand their mortgage, and a Home Maintenance refresher course, both led by Habitat staff.
For resources, families were provided opportunities to connect with Habitat's Communications, Advocacy, and Programs teams, as well as other local organizations that opted to table at the event:
The Habitat staff would like to thank the Children's Museum for their continued support of this event.
"They allowed us to use the space to host the event for the 9th time, and they did an amazing job!" Zach said.
As an added bonus, Habitat Homeowners who qualify are able to apply for a free membership to the museum after registering during the networking event. 63 homeowners signed up!
The Habitat team is planning another homeowner event for the spring of 2019, in addition to providing some ongoing training and education opportunities. More details will be sent to homeowners in 2019.
