Winter Break Boredom? Habitat's got a cure
Are you a student wondering what to do over winter break? Do you have students you’re trying to keep busy or entertained over break? Have they/you...
The MLK Day of Service is a part of the President’s national call to service initiative. Each year, this is a day where individuals can work together to improve their communities and help provide solutions to our nation’s problems. It is the only federal holiday observed as a day of national service.
Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity relies on the hard work of volunteers year round, and MLK Jr. Day is a unique day to help provide decent, affordable shelter in the Twin Cities. We are still looking for volunteers at our Cottage Grove and West St. Paul sites. We are also looking for volunteers to join our Youth United Steering Committee at a site in N. Minneapolis. Visit http://tchabitat.volunteerhub.com to sign up for the location you want! No experience is necessary.
Make Monday January 20th a day on, not a day off!
More information about MLK Jr. Day 2014 can be found at the MLK Day website, http://mlkday.gov/ and the Corporation for National and Community Service website, http://www.nationalservice.gov/.
