Join us for a screening of the documentary, The Pruitt-Igoe Myth!
The Pruitt-Igoe Myth details the public housing complex’s dramatic and highly-publicized implosion; dives into the social, economic, racial, and political issues surrounding its successes and failures; and looks at the transformation of the American city in the decades after World War II through the lens of this housing development and the St. Louis residents who called it home. Following the viewing of the documentary, there will be a conversation facilitated by Professor Edward Goetz. It will be a powerful combination of a film and a speaker that you will not want to miss!
Please RSVP here and visit Habitat’s Book & Film Club Website for a schedule of future events.
