There’s no better way to build community than by gathering for a three-on-three basketball tournament. That statement may not be completely provable, but if said basketball tournament also raises money for Habitat for Humanity’s Youth United program, the argument is strengthened a bit. If you love friendly competition and strengthening communities by engaging youth, 3 on 3 Habitat Madness is the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
The first annual Habitat Madness is happening on Saturday, February 9 at Van Cleve Park in Minneapolis from 9 am to 5 pm. Registration costs $45 per team of up to four (three on the court and one optional sub), and registration guarantees your team at least two fifteen-minute long games.
If you want to show off your street hoops skills, we have a competitive division where you can stuff your way to victory. If you’re more into shooting some hoops and just having a good time, we have a non-competitive division, as well as awards for best team name and best uniforms — so whether you're the creative or athletic type, or both, this is the perfect opportunity to shine!
The stakes may not be as high as they were in Space Jam, but helping out your community and having a great time while doing it is totally worth it. Click here more details and to sign up, and don’t forget to RSVP on Facebook if you’re coming!
