Friday, October 19th marked the Cigna Foundation’s 50th anniversary. Cigna is a global health services company dedicated to helping customers improve their health, well-being and sense of security. Cigna and their affiliates are committed to doing good in communities throughout the world by promoting wellness, expanding health information and service opportunities, developing leaders, and embracing communities.
This year, Cigna employee volunteers have helped build safe, affordable homes for Habitat homebuyer families throughout the Twin Cities metro area. On Thursday, October 18th, 21 Cigna employees from around the country came together at a Twin Cities Habitat home-build site in South Minneapolis. Cigna employee volunteers constructed the front and back porch, installed closet shelving, and painted inside and outside the home. The site supervisor Zach Zoul said “Everyone was very enthusiastic and worked extremely hard throughout the entire day. Cigna employee volunteers took a lot of care performing their assigned tasks and showed they wanted everything to turn out well.”
