Twin Cities Habitat volunteers heading to Costa Rica

An intergenerational group of volunteers from the Twin Cities will build Habitat homes in La Cruz Costa Rica between March 10-19. Twin Cities Habitat has build dozens of homes through its tithe partnership with Costa Rica over the past couple years. You can read blogs from tripgoers about their experience at www.tchabitat.org/costarica.

The need for safe, decent housing in Costa Rica is huge. Studies have shown that an estimated 700,000 people there live in poverty and more than 222,000 live in extreme poverty.

Twin Cities Habitat is also partners with the Habitat affiliates in Haiti and Mozambique. Each year 10% of undesignated private funds raised through Twin Cities Habitat is used to build homes in other countries.
