Ever struggle to make ends meet or struggle with a serious health issue? Ever struggle to find a job? Ever struggle to care for an aging parent, grandparent or relative who was on a fixed income?Every homeowner has a unique life story with circumstances that create their home environment. However, many low-income homeowners in our community live in challenging circumstances that create issues beyond what they can handle.
Many families have worked years to maintain their homes yet now find themselves in an awkward and sometimes embarrassing position of asking for help. When homeowners must choose between paying for food, medication or basic utilities, when basic family expenses exceed income month after month, home maintenance is the usual casualty. Several years of deferred maintenance can create a downward spiral of home deterioration and unsafe living conditions.
A Brush with Kindness comes alongside struggling homeowners by partnering with families to complete critical repairs and restoration services that create a safe and healthy home. A Brush with Kindness helps ease wary homeowner concerns by providing services that are sensitive to homeowner circumstances. We are honored to serve homeowners in our communities. The families we serve and their stories are the heartbeat of the partnership we have with them.
We invite you to experience A Brush with Kindness by applying for help, volunteering or making a donation. Write us at abwk@tchabitat.org or call 612-788-8169 for more information.
