One of my favorite things to do is watch political debates and assure myself that things would be way better if I ran the world.
I’m sure you, too, have caught yourself prefacing one idea or another with “If I were in charge …”
Well, now’s your chance.
Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is partnering with the Minnesota Idea Open, an initiative inspired by our 10,000 lakes and 10,000-plus innovations.
The Idea Open is a chance for Minnesotans to come together and help solve our state’s most critical issues through a statewide challenge. This year, Challenge III: Working Together Across Cultures and Faiths, asks for your best idea to build bonds and work together across cultures and faiths in your community. Each idea winning idea gets a $15,000 grant for implementation, and champions also receive a nice cash prize.
Twin Cities Habitat isn’t missing out on the fun. We’ll be hosting 11 special construction days focused on engaging volunteers from diverse backgrounds to build and brainstorm together. Sign up here for a Building Together Across Cultures and Faiths Day or contact volunteer@tchabitat.org
The Idea Open Challenge III is made possible by Minnesota Community Foundation and One Nation. Learn more at www.mncommunityfoundation.org and www.onenationfoundation.org.
