Shop the ReStore to save big and support Habitat

Shop the ReStore to save big and support Habitat

You never know what treasures you’ll find at the ReStore. It’s a store unlike most others.

The ReStore constantly changes. Every day, all day, new and gently-used building materials donated by individuals, retailers, contractors and manufacturers arrive. Here are some shopping tips to get the most out of your trip to the ReStore.

  1. Bring measurements and a measuring tape. The ReStore always has standard size building materials such as doors, cabinets and windows, but you may also find items in other sizes that fit your project perfectly.
  2. Look for used and new items. About 25 percent of ReStore merchandise is new building material, including carpeting, laminate wood flooring, ceramic wall and floor tile, and the ReStore’s exclusive brand of professional-quality white paint.
  3. Ask for help. The ReStore staff is ready to answer questions, consult on do-it-yourself projects and locate products on your shopping lists. Staff also can cut carpeting to measure, calculate the amount of material needed for a project, provide a dolly for large purchases and help load merchandise into a vehicle.
  4. Get a great deal. Prices average 75 percent below retail. But, because the prices are so low, the ReStore can’t accept less than the sticker price for any item.
  5. Come back. Many customers, who include do-it-yourself homeowners, property managers and contractors, come back regularly in search of merchandise unavailable on the previous shopping trip. Return visits pay off!
