Jill Carmody has now joined the ReStore staff as manager! With the rapid expansion of the ReStore and the increase in customers, Jill will be helping to make sure that everything continues running smoothly! Around the ReStore, she often is trying to get as much product out onto the floor as possible for the customers. In her new role, Jill will be brainstorming new and creative ways for the store to display and showcase its products so that customers can easily access what they need.
Jill loves the environment at the ReStore, stating that there is "the strong sense of volunteerism" that is a strong self-motivator for everyone working there. The ReStore staff has welcomed her with open arms, smiling and joking at the mention of her.
"She has a fantastic sense of humor" said Alicia, the Volunteer Coordinator at the ReStore. "She is great at seeing what needs to get done, delegating, and then getting them done!"
Jill was most recently working with Goodwill before she began at the ReStore, and has been a retail manager since 1998. She holds a Bachelor's of Science from the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire. She has lived in Minnesota for nine years, and enjoys hobbies such as gardening,
reading, and home improvement. She spends a lot of time hanging out with her dog and cat, and laughingly says that "I have a husband too, but we don't hang out as much. I love my pets."
With over 15 years in retail management, Jill is going to be an experienced addition to the ReStore staff.
“I love working in retail and love working for non-profit organizations," Jill shared, "The ReStore is as close as I can get to a dream job.”
She hopes to be able to help the ReStore flourish, and continue to improve the ReStore experience for everyone involved.
