The Central-Corridor Green Line, which has been in construction and planning for years, will be opening on Saturday, June 14th! In celebration, many businesses and communities within the area will be holding different events. The main festivities will include things like an official ribbon cutting, live music all day programmed by The Current and 96.3 K-TWIN, a showcase of some Lowertown artists, Union Depot tours, interactive games with the Timberwolves and Lynx, as well as taste samples from Warehouse District/North Loop restaurants.
Habitat for Humanity will also be part of these festivities, and will be hosting a public Open House! We would like to showcase our new building and thank the supporters that allowed us to have this wonderful space! The light rail line makes it much easier for people to access our offices, since the Fairview Avenue stop is right next to us.
What: Open House to celebrate the opening of the Green Light Rail Line
When: Saturday, June 14th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 1954 University Ave, St. Paul (you can take the Green Line to the Fairview Station, and walk West to Prior Ave.)
We would love for you to join us so that you can learn more about Habitat, our volunteer opportunities, and also the work that we do in the community before heading to the other festivities down the light rail line!
