A Growing Base of Giving with Carpenter's Club Members

Twin Cities Habitat relies on support from the local community in order to carry out our work each and every day. The material donations and financial contributions help us combat high costs associated with construction and repair work, and helps to keep mortgages affordable for homebuyers. One group of donors help to lay the foundation for our work by making convenient, ongoing monthly contributions to our organization. These sustaining donors are members of our Carpenter's Club.

"Recurring donations are an easy way to make a huge impact on Habitat’s work," said Bryn Ford-Jacoby, Resource Development Associate at Habitat. "Studies show that the average recurring donor gives 42%* more than those who made one-time gifts. It all adds up!"

In addition to some of the fun perks club members have access to, they also receive less mail, no renewal notices, and have the knowledge that they're helping us lower costs.

new milestones

This year our Carpenter's Club membership surpassed the 250 mark, with 42 of the current members being members of Twin Cities Habitat's own staff. On average, Carpenter's Club members in total give $6,200 a month or roughly $75,300 a year. This is equivalent to being a primary sponsor on a Habitat home!

“Many of our staff are members of the Carpenter’s Club," said Cathy Lawrence, Vice President of Resource Development & Community Engagement at Habitat. "They are leading the way in providing the financial stability we need to achieve our mission. We couldn’t be more grateful to all members who not only contribute but save resources also.”

new matching grant

And, to make joining the Carpenter's Club even more appealing, Twin Cities Habitat received a grant to match all new sustaining gifts dollar-for-dollar for an entire year! That means your monthly gift is doubled, every month, for twelve months.
