Russle Avenue Rehab
Update 1-June 16, 2010
Update 3- July 17, 2010
Two weeks ago was construction prep week, and during that time contractors rather than volunteers were onsite in Jordan working away. They installed the electrical in the house and moved the curb to fit the new location of the home’s driveway. This past week volunteers were back, and church groups began laying laminate flooring and adding kitchen cabinets. Volunteers also were hanging and painting doors. The home is really coming together in these last few weeks, and this week volunteers will install vinyl flooring and work more on interior painting.

Update 2-June 15, 2010
Now at week six, the build in Jordan continues to be on schedule. Volunteers from Mary Mother of the Church are finishing the siding on the front of the house. Paint is also starting to go up around the outside of the home, with the first coat and trim near completion. On the inside, volunteers have also begun insulation, and site supervisor David Michaelson says that they are now ready to begin installing sheetrock.

Update 1 - May 25, 2010
The build site in Jordan is about a month into construction, and this week high school students are outside adding siding. The majority of the framing is done in the home, and the roof has been finished. Groups in the last couple of weeks worked on building trusses and shingling the roof. AmeriCorps member Bekah says that they hope to finish with the siding this week and continue onto more interior tasks in the next two weeks.
