Shakopee New Build
Update 3- August 3, 2010
Update 2 - June 15, 2010
The middle of week five out at White Bear Lake has consisted of applying sheetrock to the inside of the home and siding the exterior. The St. Croix Valley Coalition volunteer group was able to finish sheetrocking all the ceilings, and they hope to wrap up the walls by the end of the week. Once the siding is complete, the next big task is to paint the exterior of the home.
Update 1 - May 25, 2010
On week three of the build, the Roof Raisers volunteer group has been busy framing all sides of the home. The next step for the crew is to put shingles on the roof, once heating and plumbing holes have been cut on the inside. Site supervisor Floyd Hanson is excited with the progress of the build, despite the heated temperatures they’ve been experiencing. Floyd said, “I sure hope it cools down a bit before we have a bunch people up on the roof.”
