Habitat partner General Mills does it again!

A number of churches have come up with volunteers to help build a house in North Minneapolis. Each church provides the volunteers for one week in order to complete one full house.
Site Supervisor Dave said, "I am especially excited to work with this group. All of the volunteers really want to be here, they don't get paid like the corporate volunteers, so they have to take time off from work or out of their busy lives."
Week after week, every person at this site has a positive attitude and looks forward to helping out. In spite of days with extreme heat, rain and muddy conditions, the crew always has a smile and something positive to say.
Money for this house was raised through Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and through generous donations from individual congregations.
The neighborhood is perfect for a Habitat family and the group is hopeful that one of the visiting families will soon decide to make this house their home. Right next door there is another Habitat house being built in addition to the Women Build house right down the street. The house is next to public transportation, lakes and downtown Minneapolis.
At this point the house is nearly complete and construction will begin shortly on the neighboring house.
