Jordan - Hope Avenue springs eternal for Habitat volunteers

Jordan - Hope Avenue springs eternal for Habitat volunteers

Building on Hope Avenue in JordanAnother Habitat home is going up on Hope Avenue in Jordan this spring. Right now it's framed and roofed. Today, several of the licensed contractors Habitat hires for professional services on the homes were at work with the electrical and heating systems. Like all new Twin Cites Habitat homes, this one will have Energy Star appliances to keep operating costs as affordable as possible.

This home on Hope could use some more volunteers. So if you want to help build a safe, decent home for a hardworking, low-income family in the Southwest Metro please visit www.tchabitat.org/volunteer or click the button below.

This home is going to be great for a family. It's across the street from an elementary school and there are beautiful flowering trees in the yard. Plus, it's just a couple houses down from another Habitat home. This one is essentially finished. They still have to put in the sod and lay the asphalt and it has a few "punch list" items to take care of before it closes.

David Michaelson is the Site Supervisor on both homes. He is really a great guy to work with (make sure you ask him about some of his many travels to do Habitat projects around the world).

A Volunteer gets so much out of even one day on a Habitat site. You are guaranteed to  learn something new (either about construction or about yourself), meet great people and help make a real difference in your community. So grab some co-workers, your church group, your family, your friends and sign up today! You'll love it.
